On Tuesday 22nd March, Talent Match Northants hosted its 2nd annual Celebration Event, showcasing even more of the fantastic journeys our young people have been on.
This year’s event was themed in the style of an American Prom, with balloon archways, a photographer and awards.
The Mayor of Kettering was in attendance as well as BBC Radio Northampton, who were interviewing a selection of young people.
The presentation included the premier of our 2016 film and awards being presented to young people and employers.
Nominated for the employer awards were:
Large Employer of the Year – Northampton Saints, The Sundew Harvester and Weatherbys.
Small Employer of the Year – Victoria Centre, Wellingborough Trains & Models and Mercy In Action.
The winners were Weatherbys and Wellingborough Trains & Models. Both have been keen supporters of Talent Match by providing high quality work experience placements that have been instrumental in their development and, in some case, securing employment.
The most prestigious awards of the evening were the Talent Match Northamptonshire Class of ’16. All the nominees have been through fantastic journeys whilst on Talent Match but 4 in particular stood out.
The winners were: Norminds Lapins, Selina Radford, Gary Enfield and Shaun Harris.
Entertainment was provided by the Corby Amateur Theatrical Society, performing songs from their upcoming rendition of Grease.
This concluded the event but attendees were invited to stay behind to eat hot dogs, take photos, sign the yearbook and hear, first hand, about the achievements of our young people.
