Gemma’s Journey

When Gemma first joined the Talent Match she was finding it difficult to get motivated to attend certain training events or job interviews.

After attending a ‘back to basics’ session her Kettering Talent Match Champions, Gemma displayed a fresh understanding of the expectations of the programme and that everything she does on Talent Match is in her best interest.

She was encouraged to attend an Advice & Guidance session to work on improving her CV, which she required for an ALDI recruitment day that had been promoted to her by her Talent Match Champion.

Upon attending this event, Gemma managed to secure herself a trial within the ALDI store in Kettering. Gemma completed the trial and was offered paid employment.

When signing her contract Gemma became worried about how she would travel to and from work. Her Talent Match Champion assisted her in working out the best method of public transport and was able to provide her with some travel funds to make the transition  into employment all the more easier for her.

She enjoys the work she is doing and has now been given a position in the new ALDI store that has just opened in Kettering.

Gemma provided this quote about her time on Talent Match:

”I was unemployed and needed to find a job, Talent Match helped me with my CV and were really helpful! Without the help from Talent Match I wouldn’t be working at Aldi!”
