The Skills Show 2015!

In November, we took a group of eager beneficiaries to the 2015 Skills Show at the NEC in Birmingham.

Having been last year we already knew that this was a great opportunity for the young people on our project to gain an insight into the vast amount of job sectors that are out there…and it didn’t disappoint.

The Skills Show provides the chance for young people to talk to employers and industry professionals about the work they do as well as the routes into that sector.

From carpentry and bricklaying to forensic science and make-up design, there was something for everyone. With apprentices at work on each stand, it provided a view of the day by day tasks they do.

The trip was enjoyed by all. It certainly opened our eyes and there were plenty of interactive stands to get involved with as well.

It’s safe to say that we will be going back next year. If you want to find out more about the Skills Show then why not head over to their website:
